TRAIL CLOSED FOR CONSTRUCTION: Heritage Rail Trail at Railroad Underpass
Work began in September 2022 to construct a protection canopy over the Heritage Rail Trail at this Norfolk Southern Blackbridge Railroad Bridge, as required by the railroad. The specific location is one mile north of the US Route 30 trailhead parking lot and 1.5 miles south of Emig/Mundis Mill Rd.
THE AREA IS CLOSED TO ALL VISITORS.
NO DETOUR EXISTS BY WHICH VISITORS CAN NAVIGATE AROUND THE CONSTRUCTION AREA.
Work will continue into 2023. A date for re-opening the trail at this location cannot be predicted at this time.
All other portions of the Heritage Rail Trail remain open and available for trail users. Please plan your visits accordingly.
